Grilling & Barbecue

By Sarah Yurch | June 14 2023 | Cooking

Summertime is barbecue season! Here are some of the top trends anticipated for summer 2023, according to Better Homes and Gardens and Barbecue Bible:

International inspiration:

Global and fusion flavor inspirations are big in grilling this year, whether that’s adding gochujang to a marinade or trying an entirely new technique like chichinga, or West African barbecue.

Evolving technology:

Going beyond a standard charcoal grill is often a necessity for apartment dwellers, urban barbecuers, and anyone who doesn’t have their own yard. From improved electric grills to Bluetooth temperature gauges, advances in grilling tech are changing the cookout game.

Cost cutting:

Who can afford brisket these days? Inflation is heralding a return to the barbecue tradition of turning less “desirable” (read: “pricey”) cuts of meat into true delicacies.
