Teacher Appreciation

By Sarah Yurch | March 31 2023 | General

Teacher Appreciation Week is observed May 2–8 2023, but hardworking educators deserve our thanks year-round.

Over the past few years in particular, teachers and other school workers have made it known that they feel overworked and underappreciated. In 2022, the National Education Association (NEA) created a video featuring the thoughts of several educators from across their country on what would make them feel truly appreciated. Their wishes include a living wage for all school workers, adequate funding for school resources, more manageable class sizes, and for politicians to stop making their work a partisan issue. In addition to these broader systemic changes, many educators note that a letter or drawing from a student, a hug, or a sincere “thank you” are most meaningful.

A gift can’t change the education system, but it can make an educator feel that their hard work is seen and valued. See below for some of our top Teacher Appreciation gifts, or click here for a more complete list.
