Sell More of What Sells – Backlist

By Candice Chaplin | July 18 2019 | General

We’re excited to introduce this fantastic resource for identifying the best Adult backlist titles for themes, occasions, categories, and trends that engage customers. The Vault features backlist titles from all of the Adult publishing divisions of Penguin Random House and our distribution clients. Highly curated lists take into account rate of movement, inventory availability, and sales trends to help users easily and confidently identify and sell the best of our backlist.

Want to keep up with Movie and TV Tie-In opportunities?  Click on the “Movie & TV Tie-Ins” tile on the home page and you’ll find a complete list of titles connected to movies and tv shows which have announced release dates. This collection is updated regularly, and includes both the MTI and regular editions relevant to the media release.

Looking for the best titles to recommend for seasonal promotions?  Find titles sorted by ROM with the most relevant content by looking at Blog posts, promotional title carousels, or searching categories.

Want to create your own list? In the Backlist Vault’s Phase II, you’ll be able to search and collate using title tags that will help you find the titles that fit your accounts’ needs precisely.

A few other special features of our site include:

  • Links to Edelweiss Collections – each list also exists on Edelweiss, so if you find it here, you can click over to the list in Edelweiss for review with buyers.
  • Wish List– click on the heart under book covers to add titles to your wish list. Download the wish list to a spreadsheet or PDF before you leave the site and use it  to discuss promotions or category opportunities with booksellers.
  • Look Inside functionality with two-page spreads – perfect for our many illustrated books.

And this is just the start! We’ll add new features and resources weekly to help you find the best books and gifts for your accounts’ tables, shelves, and promotions. And Children’s titles are soon to become part of this platform as well. Please don’t hesitate to let us know what you think – we’d love to hear from you at
