The top selling sets are almost always children’s titles—Middle Grade and Chapter Books in particular. Beloved Classic series are perennial heavy hitters, and in recent years popular Manga series and Media Tie-Ins have been making waves.
On the adult side, genre is king with Science Fiction and Fantasy boxed sets in several of the top selling spots. Cooking is another popular category that often pays off in retail dollars, thanks to higher average list prices per volume. And we can’t forget Classics, with beautiful hardcover sets that bring literary and aesthetic value to bookshelves.
