Lynn Whitfield won an Emmy Award for her work in the HBO presentation The Josephine Baker Story. She has also appeared in the films Eve's Bayou and A Thin Line Between Love and Hate. She starred in the television movie The Wedding, produced by Oprah Winfrey and Harpo Productions.
