Nicholas Pileggi is an Italian-American author, screenwriter, and producer. Formerly a journalist, he wrote Wiseguy: Life in a Mafia Family in 1986 and adapted it into the movie Goodfellas (1990) with director Martin Scorcese. He also wrote Casino: Love and Honor in Las Vegas and turned it to the screenplay for Casino.
